Episode Eight (2011)

Type :   Production countries :

In the series finale, a medium in the community centre brings several ghosts back to life. The first two probation officers come back, as well as the antagonist of the season 1 finale, who brainwashed the community into becoming evangelical Christians. Each of the spirits, who appear in solid human form, capable of intoxication, intercourse and injury, believe they have some 'unfinished business' to complete before they can 'move on'. Sally confronts Simon, telling him that she forgives him for killing her, and apologizes for manipulating him. However, she seduces him by making him feel guilty, and surreptitiously videos the encounter, before sending the footage to Alisha from Simon's phone. After Alisha confronts Simon, Sally goes to murder her, in order to avenge Tony's death and hurt Simon. Tony stops her however, explaining that the gang killed him in self defence. They kiss, and in doing so, both move on. After claiming to the gang that God doesn't exist, and trying drugs, alcohol, sex and swearing, the leader of the virtue group is still stuck on earth. As Rudy attempts to comfort her, he unwittingly puts the notion of vengeance into her head, and she takes a Stanley knife, slits Alisha's throat, and disappears. Within seconds, Alisha dies in Simon's arms. After this, Simon informs the rest of the gang that he is the masked man, and now needs to go back in time to save Alisha. Through Seth, and with help from Kelly, Simon obtains the power to travel back in time. Unlike Curtis's power, he cannot return back to the future. Simon travels back, and goes to Seth to buy the power of immunity from other powers, thus making him able to touch Alisha, and cause her to fall in love with him. Simon returns, arriving at the start of episode six of the first season.
