  Biography  

 early life
He was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

 career
Weaver's first screen appearance was in 1955 and according to the Internet Movie Database, he has appeared in more than 120 film and television productions, including 45 single-episode appearances on various television series.

Weaver was the voice of Alpine in the animated television series G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero (1985–1986).

He appeared as a blind seer in the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? and he also appeared in one episode of One World , a situation-comedy television series.

He also played the role of Mr. Ed Downer, a handyman that became an interest of Philip Banks' mom, on an episode of the Fresh Prince of Bel Aire.

 personal life
Since 1971, Weaver has been married to actress Ta-Tanisha and they have one child together. They reside in The Bronx, a borough of New York City, New York, where Ta-Tanisha was born and raised.
